Pottery involves wet floors, repetitive hand movement, sharp tools, heavy clay, glaze materials, clay dust, hot kilns and fragile ceramic work. Use closed-toe shoes, provided protective equipment and wet-cleaning methods. Do not enter kiln or materials areas without permission.
3. Handmade results
Clay can crack, warp, blister or change colour during drying and firing. Images show the character of activities but do not guarantee a particular object, glaze colour or finish. Included firing is a service with inherent risk, not an insurance against material faults.
